Al-Taj News – U.S. Vice President JD Vance said that immigration and integration problems were behind the acts of violence witnessed in France during widespread protests over the rising cost of living, linking the events to the domestic political debate in the United States ahead of the midterm elections.
In a post on the platform X, accompanied by a video clip showing the Limoges city hall engulfed in flames, Vance accused what he described as “Western liberals” of having “exported the Third World to France and other countries in the name of diversity and compassion,” adding that they had ignored questions related to integration and compatibility.
“They were told things would come to this, but they refused to listen,” Vance said, adding that he hoped France could “put an end to this madness before the flames engulf more of its landmarks.”
The U.S. vice president linked the unrest in France to the congressional elections scheduled for November 3, saying he hoped Americans would be “paying attention.”
